Flock Coating Systems

Flocking involves the application of short single threads on different substrates. Nylon, polyester, rayon are commonly used. The diameter of one flock is one thousandth of a centimeter. The length ranges from 0.3-5 mm.

In addition, all fibers must have the same flexibility and permeability. The application uses special equipments . These equipment charge the flock with electricity, and the flock particles take up a vertical position. Then they are fixed at a right angle. The application is permanent and durable.

Flock can be applied to glass, metal, plastic, paper or fabric. Flock is used for decorative purposes on many products such as clothing, greeting cards, promotional materials, toys, book covers, and upholstery fabrics.
